Collection: Distilling Equipment & Accessories

US federal law permits fermenting your own beer and wine at home, but distilling spirits without a federal permit is not legal, even using your own equipment. Some products in this collection, such as turbo yeasts, are also used for non-distilled applications; check current federal and state regulations before using any equipment to produce distilled spirits.

A hydrometer for tracking gravity and fermentation progress, plus standard fermentation, sanitising, and transfer equipment most home fermenters already own, cover the preparation stage.

You do not need a sight glass for the botanical basket setup. Important to note that we do have a sight glass botanical basket, but these do not work in conjunction with one another.

The botanical basket sits inside the alembic dome to hold herbs, botanicals, or fruit peels so their aromatics infuse into the vapour passing through, commonly used for flavouring gin-style spirits or non-alcoholic extracts. It's a common addition for brewers wanting botanical flavour infusion beyond a plain distillate.

The Alembic is a copper dome and condenser attachment used with Still Spirits equipment for distillation-style processes, such as producing essential oils or botanical extracts. Availability and permitted use of distillation equipment varies by US state and federal law, so check current regulations in your state before purchasing for spirit distillation specifically.
